Holy Week of Popayán resists vigorous despite the war in Cauca

One of the eight freighters dressed in alpargatas, tunico and capro – or capirote, to be more precise – gives a dry blow to his stick. In a careful choreography, everyone picks up again, as is known the wooden figures representative of the Passion of Christ, which are accompanied by candles and white flowers, the color that corresponds to the Procession of Our Lady the Virgin of Sorrows this Tuesday. Every day they leave a different church.
