Hollywood Pays Tribute to Tim Curry

Warrington-Born actor Tim Curry died Tuesday at his Los Angeles home at age 80, according to his long-time manager and friend Marcia Hurwitz.
Curry rose to fame originating Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1973, launching a prolific career spanning more than five decades with film credits including Annie and Muppet Treasure Island.
Co-Star Susan Sarandon praised Curry as "funny, sexy, original" on Instagram Wednesday, while Rob Schneider recalled watching him perform scenes in seven "completely different" ways during their Home Alone collaboration.
Rocky Horror Picture Show creator Richard O'Brien described Curry as "a wonderful man by nature who was also a wonderful performer," while Broadway actor Luke Evans called him "a force, a bright fierce flame."
Despite requiring a wheelchair following a 2012 stroke, Curry remained generous with fans and is remembered for iconic villainous roles, including Stephen King's antagonist Pennywise in the miniseries It.
