The free upgrade offers enhanced graphics and performance on Switch 2, with new buyers able to purchase the game for $15 on the Nintendo eShop.
- Shortly, Nintendo and Team Cherry announced the Hollow Knight Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is now live on the Nintendo eShop, revealed during the Partner Showcase/Direct.
- Team Cherry said the update adds high frame-rate modes, higher resolutions and additional graphical effects, with Nintendo announcing the Switch 2 Edition inbound in 2026 and upgrade paths for Switch owners.
- Players who own Hollow Knight on Nintendo Switch can download the Switch 2 Edition for free, while new buyers can purchase it on the Nintendo eShop for $15.
- While announcing the Switch 2 Edition, Team Cherry also teased an upcoming expansion and Nintendo's Partner Showcase highlighted Bethesda titles among other major ports.
