Hollister Animal Shelter Closed to New Strays

The Hollister animal shelter is closed for new arrivals following the shelter taking in multiple strays that could have been exposed to infectious diseases. Hollister police animal care says that a stray puppy at the shelter may have been exposed to parvovirus, and more recently, a stray kitten was taken in with a case of panleukopenia.
