Former Sears store on Syracuse’s South Side to be turned into semiconductor workforce training center

Syracuse, N.Y. – The state of New York is providing $8.5 million to turn the long-vacant former Sears Roebuck store on Syracuse’s South Side into a semiconductor workforce training hub.

Dr. Tang Van To, Head of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Saigon Technology University (STU), said that the semiconductor industry is the foundation of Industry 4.0.
