Nuevo Laredo, Tamps., A few days after the end of 2025, the Directorate of Civil Protection and Municipal Firefighters confirmed the historical decrease in the deaths of migrants by drowning in the Rio Bravo, with only three cases registered throughout the year, the lowest number in the last decade.
Despite being one of the main crossing points of undocumented immigrants to the United States, the border of Nuevo Laredo recorded a decrease of people drowned in the Rio Bravo east 2025.
