Grand Rapids icon American Seating acquired by joint venture

American Seating, an iconic name in Grand Rapids' manufacturing history, has been acquired by a new joint venture. Earlier this year, GR Seating LLC was formed as a 50/50 joint venture between NFI Group Inc and GILLIG LLC, both of which are bus manufacturers and longtime customers of American Seating.
