In the next legislator year, 2026/2027, the higher public education will have a total of 78,283 vagas, more than 1,465 vagas, reported today to the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MECI). In communication, MECI needs the higher education institutions (IES) to provide "56.790 vagas through the General Access Scheme (NGA) and 21 493 via the Special Schemes and Competitions", being the increases of 834 and 631 vagas, respectively.
Students will have this year 56,790 vagas in the national access competition and local competitions. Institutions are again able to require only one test. Guide for those who expect to compete at the top of this year.
Esteria of the medical course at the University of Trás-os-Montes and strengthening at the University of Coimbra add 62 vagas to this training. At the national access competition for 2026/27, more than 21,500 are joined in special access schemes and competitions.
