Busy high school sports schedule leading into Easter break

As the Easter break nears and many high schools and their sports programs have some downtime with a few exceptions participating in tournaments or meets, there’s plenty of high school sports action happening Thursday and Friday.

FRIDAY Baseball Eaton 13, La Junta 1, 5 inn., in Eaton: Eaton opened its campaign in the Northern Colorado Baseball Tournament — which it co-hosted with University — with a lopsided victory. Sophomore Brayden Legler had three RBI, two runs and a triple on 1-for-3 hitting for the Reds. Senior Cash Rinker went 2 for 4 with two RBI.
