Senegal: Former Minister Amadou Mansour Faye Charged in His Turn in the Investigation of the Anti-Covid Fund
Former Minister of Community Development and brother-in-law of Macky Sall, Amadou Mansour Faye was charged with "abetting the misappropriation of public funds" and jailed on Monday 26 May. The High Court of Justice of Senegal accused him of having overbilled purchases of rice intended for vulnerable populations during the covid pandemic. He is the fifth minister of the former regime charged with misappropriation in this case.
