HERMISTON – A Hermiston man was sentenced to nearly six years in prison after initially being arrested for attempted murder in April 2025. Vernon Adams pleaded guilty to second-degree assault as part of a plea deal. In exchange for the plea, the attempted murder charge and an additional charge of unlawful use of a weapon were dismissed.
