Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia currently have an unusual number of hepatitis A cases. According to ECDC, there have already been several fatalities.
The deadly Hepatitis A virus is spreading in Europe. So far, nine deaths have been reported in Austria and the Czech Republic, reports Frankfurter Rundschau. “We must strengthen our preventive measures,” the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control said in a statement.
