Nuclear Fusion Plant Breaks Ground Aiming to Power Microsoft Data Centers

MALAGA, WASHINGTON, JUL 30 – Helion Energy aims to deliver fusion-generated electricity to Microsoft data centers by 2028, supporting scalable, carbon-free power amid rising demand for AI-driven computing, officials said.

Nuclear fusion energy is one step closer to becoming a reality after Helion Energy broke ground Wednesday on what could become the world’s first commercial fusion power plant.
