India is sending six forensic teams and a tunnel rescue unit as Nepal reports at least 626 deaths and more than 2,400 people missing.

- Catastrophic flash floods and landslides along the Nepal-Tibet border caused the crisis; the Nepal National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority confirmed at least 626 deaths with over 2,400 people missing.
- A specialized reconnaissance team from India arrived in Kathmandu on Friday; Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava said the team "conducted a recce of tunnels in Chilime and Langtang power plants" with the Nepali Army.
- Ministry of External Affairs data shows 287 Indian nationals and 128 others remain missing more than 72 hours after the floods, while India dispatched a third flight carrying 10 tonnes of humanitarian assistance to Kathmandu.
- External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar confirmed India will continue supporting Nepal, with six forensic expert teams from India preparing to land in Kathmandu to assist Nepalese authorities with DNA analysis for identifying remains.
