Heavy rainfall across Spain on Tuesday (March 11) has pushed several rivers to swell, prompting regional authorities to activate emergency response plans. Residents in Spain said they had never seen the rivers get to this level.

The heavy rains continue to cause damage in several cities of the country. One of them is Loja, which fell under water after the overflow of the Malacatos and Zamora rivers.
