- Tens of thousands of Somalis gathered across the country Tuesday, with demonstrations reported in Baidoa, Dhusamareb, Las Anod, Hobyo, Borama and northeastern regions.
- Most United Nations Security Council members condemned Israel's recognition at an emergency meeting Monday, while the United States was the only member not to condemn, and Abukar Dahir Osman warned it `aims to promote the fragmentation of Somalia` and could facilitate forced Palestinian relocation.
