Heart failure and accompanying diseases

As every May, the month of awareness of heart failure is celebrated worldwide, a pathology that in 2023 caused 18,954 deaths in Spain, representing 22% of all deaths due to diseases of the circulatory system. It is also the third cause of cardiovascular death in the country, only behind ischemic diseases of the heart and cerebrovascular diseases, recalls the Spanish Association of Heart Patients, Cardioalianza.
