Health: EU authorizes Novavax vaccine against Covid-19 variants

An international team has just developed a vaccine that has the same effectiveness on the Delta and Omicron variants of Covid-19. This would make it possible to consider vaccines whose protection does not decrease with the appearance of new strains.

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave the green light to the updated Novavax biologic that protects against the omicron XBB.1.5 variant; people already inoculated against coronavirus will need a dose of the new vaccine, those who have not yet received any vaccine will require two injections.
