The US Congressional delegation met with Acting President Ilie Bolojan and other Romanian officials on Tuesday, and is also scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu. Vern Buchanan, the Republican leading the delegation, said Romania is there to take the bilateral partnership “to another level.” After the meeting with the American delegation, PSD Senator Robert Cazanciuc said that “the election year was not discussed as an issue.”
