Romanian officials, from interim President Ilie Bolojan to Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu and parliamentarians from all parties, declared in unison that the American delegation understood the arguments based on which the presidential elections were canceled.

The US delegation consists of 4 Republicans and 4 Democrats. In public, the Americans have not commented on the cancellation of the elections.
