The socialist mayor of Marmande, Joël Hocquelet, did not want Jordan Bardella or a meeting of the National Rally (RN) in a room in his commune of Lot-et-Garonne in September 2024. Eight months later, he was tried on 7 May in the correctional court of Agen for "discrimination on the grounds of political opinions".
