"He could have dissuaded him from driving": a drunken policeman causes a fatal accident, suspended prison required against the passenger
Two gendarmes were tried this Tuesday on appeal before the Grenoble Correctional Court for "non-prohibition of crime" after letting a drunken colleague take the road. The latter caused an accident causing the death of a couple of pensioners in February 2019. The relaxation was required for one of the two gendarmes and the requalification as "involuntary homicide" for the second, passenger of the vehicle.
