HAYFIELD — The Montevideo Junior American Legion baseball team won its state opener on Friday. Montevideo VFW Post 380 shut out Ely Legion Post 248 in a 3-0 victory in the Division II Junior American Legion State Baseball Tournament at Hayfield High School.
