On the Weser at Porta Westfalica, a cargo ship ran aground. The river is blocked for the time being.

Because a ship ran aground on Thursday afternoon (15 May, 1 p.m.) on the Weser (Kilometer 171) at the entrance to the dredging lake Stemmen and protrudes across the river Weser, the waterway is closed in both directions until Sunday night (18 May 0 o'clock) for shipping traffic. Officers of the water security guard Minden took up the accident on site. How exactly the accident could happen is the subject of the ongoing investigation.
