Haute-Saône. Quenoche: Carpenters discover the shrapnel of the Second World War

Summary by estrepublicain.fr
The bell tower leaned 14 centimetres and threatened to collapse. By launching the restoration of the St. Peter's church in Quenoche, the town hall - along with Hyet's - did not intend to bring to light any part of its history. With the discovery of shrapnel by carpenters in the oak beams dating from 1775, this is the tragic battle of September 10, 1944, between German and American soldiers, which resurfaces. Unedited.
