Hasi hops off with the May tree

The tradition of the May tree is very popular in the region. May 1 is approaching and thus also one of the most popular traditions with us: the May tree setting. This custom probably goes back to the 16th century in the opinion of folk spies. It is a visible sign of self-confidence in the free communities in Franconian and Bavarian municipalities since the 18th century. The exact origin of this tradition is still unclear to this day.
