Harvard to Tackle Grade Inflation With Cap on A’s

Students are worried about what a cap on top grades will mean for their GPAs and postcollege prospects. Faculty largely view the cap as long overdue. Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences will vote next month on whether to cap the number of A grades that instructors can assign in each course, effectively cutting in half the percentage of students who earn A’s.
