Hugh Laurie, Cush Jumbo Among New 'Harry Potter' Audiobook Cast
GLOBAL, AUG 5 – The series features over 200 performers and uses original music and real-world sounds to create an immersive experience, with the first book releasing November 4, 2025.
- On Aug. 5, Pottermore Publishing and Audible, Inc. announced Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone will debut on Nov. 4, 2025, with Hugh Laurie, Matthew Macfadyen, Riz Ahmed, Michelle Gomez, and Cush Jumbo as narrator.
- This revision comes after a 25-year gap and marks the first major update to the Harry Potter audiobook library in more than 25 years, with Jim Dale and Stephen Fry's original recordings still available.
- Production has logged over 2,000 hours and will feature an ensemble cast of more than 200 performers, with original music and real-world sound capture, by Audible and Pottermore Publishing.
- Cush Jumbo will serve as narrator, fans of all ages can mark their autumn calendars for this immersive audio experience, and additional cast members arrive this autumn.
- Following the debut, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will be released on December 16, 2026, with subsequent titles releasing monthly on their set dates.
