Haris reprimanded, England fined after Lahore ODI

  • On Wednesday, the International Cricket Council fined Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf 20 per cent of his match fee for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during Sunday's one-day international in Lahore.
  • The incident occurred during the 46th over when Rauf argued with England all-rounder Will Jacks after appealing for a wide, then brushed past umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid despite a warning.
  • Pakistan eventually clinched a dramatic one-wicket win with 17 balls remaining; Shadab Khan scored an unbeaten 113 and shared an unbroken 89-run partnership with Rauf for the 10th wicket.
  • Both Rauf and England captain Harry Brook accepted their sanctions from match referee Jeff Crowe, while England were also fined 15 per cent of their match fees for a slow over-rate.
  • Rauf, 32, received one demerit point for his third offence within a 24-month period, while Pakistan prepares to face Sri Lanka in the tri-series final on October 31.
