Hampden driver strikes man in I-95 breakdown lane

A 27-year-old man was transported to a Bangor hospital after being found in the southbound breakdown lane of Interstate 95 in Waterville.  An initial investigation shows that a 33-year-old Hampden man struck the 27-year-old, who had been laying in front of his dump truck in the breakdown lane, at around 1:40 p.m. It is not clear what caused the collision, or why the 27-year-old was laying in front of his truck, Maine Department of Safety spokesp…
