The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg has presented its plans for a possible German application for Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Hamburg has presented its plans for an Olympic application in 2036, 2040 or 2044. The Hanseatic city is set on short paths. Besides Hamburg, Munich, Berlin and North Rhine-Westphalia also want to host the games.
Ten years after the application from a referendum, Hamburg is once again applying for the Olympic Games. The metropolis wants to be the German candidate. Optimism is great.
In Germany, the Olympic fever has sparked, there are candidates across the Republic for the summer games starting from 2036. Hamburg is now presenting its concept – and is announcing a new building in the Volkspark, which will also become the home of HSV.
Relying on the use of already existing sites, the Olympic and Paralympic candidacy of Munich (Germany) for the hosting of a future edition of the Summer Games will be submitted to the citizens' appreciation in the framework of a referendum which the local authorities will organise on 26 October 2025.
