Hail Falls in Lometa Area

A dozen departments are placed in orange watch by Météo France, mainly due to the thunderstorms. They have already hit this Monday, until Gironde and on a large part of the Haute-Garonne. In places, hailstones measured up to seven centimetres in diameter. More than 200 calls were recorded by the firefighters of the Haute-Garonne. No injuries are to be deplored. (Weather and weather).

The heavy rains and hail falls recorded on Monday 19 May caused damage in several municipalities in Lauragais. In Cintegabelle, schools will not open on Tuesday.

Weather France has just extended the orange storm and rain alert in the Aude department on Monday 19 May.

Eleven departments in the south-west are still in orange vigilance on Monday evening. Strong gusts of wind and hail began to fall on the Haute-Garonne, Tarn and Ariège with sometimes very violent thunderstorms.
