Gunmen abduct LG vice chairman, two councillors in Borno

Suspected Boko Haram militants abducted three newly elected officials and several passengers along a known 120 km insurgent flashpoint, five days after local elections.

Gunmen have abducted the newly elected vice chairman of Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, Alhaji Saidu. The hoodlums also abducted councillors representing Zarawuyaku and Miringa wards in the area.
