The Vice-President of the European Central Bank (ECB), Luis de Guindos, warned this Thursday that the prospects for the European economy are "clearly conditioned" by what is happening in the Middle East, and he was "fully convinced" that Spain will remain a close ally of the United States, adding that a joint position in Europe of which Spain would have been part would have been important.
