PARK CITY, Utah — Guardsman Pass officially opened for the season Monday, giving drivers access once again between Park City, Heber Valley and Big Cottonwood Canyon via state routes 224 and 190. With only patches of lingering snow remaining, the scenic mountain road opened more than a week earlier than its May 20 opening date in 2025. Originally, UDOT officials had said their goal was to open the road ahead of Memorial Day weekend.
