Guardsman Pass opens for season ahead of schedule

PARK CITY, Utah — Guardsman Pass officially opened for the season Monday, giving drivers access once again between Park City, Heber Valley and Big Cottonwood Canyon via state routes 224 and 190. With only patches of lingering snow remaining, the scenic mountain road opened more than a week earlier than its May 20 opening date in 2025.
