GRIMES, Iowa -- A Grimes man has been charged in connection with the hospitalization of a baby Thursday morning. According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, at around 3:40 a.m., deputies were called to a home in the 600 block of NE Jacob Street in Grimes after the Johnston-Grimes Fire Department responded to a report of a 2-month-old who wasn't breathing.
