Green Bay's Doug Gottlieb gets 1-game suspension from Horizon League after criticizing officiating

Wednesday: The Horizon League announced it had disciplined Green Bay men's basketball head coach Doug Gottlieb, suspending him one game after his postgame comments following a 75-72 loss on Feb. 15.
After Sunday's game, Gottlieb criticized officiating, slammed the table, and used an expletive in his postgame news conference, violating league rules, the Horizon League said.
Game stats show 23 fouls on Green Bay versus 18 on Milwaukee, with Milwaukee shooting 37 free throws to Green Bay's 19; Gottlieb said, `You had the exact same play at both ends on the last play of the game.`
The suspension will be in effect Friday when Green Bay visits Oakland, so Gottlieb will miss that game and Kerry Rupp will serve as acting head coach.
Green Bay's chancellor Michael Alexander and athletic director Josh Moon said they spoke with Gottlieb, appreciated his apology and felt a reprimand was preferable to suspension amid social media attention.
