GREECE, JUL 21 – Greece aims to protect 30% of its territorial waters by 2030 with two marine parks spanning 27,500 square kilometers, amid tensions with Turkey over maritime boundaries.
- Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis revealed on Monday that Greece will establish the largest marine protected areas in the Mediterranean, in the Ionian and Aegean seas, to promote conservation and meet 2030 targets.
