Motorway tolls have become more affordable in Hungary
Convenience fees for the purchase of Hungarian motorway vignettes ceased on 1 September, the Construction and Transportation Ministry said on Tuesday. From September 2025, the convenience fee previously applied for the electronic purchase of motorway vignettes will no longer be charged on all online platforms, so neither Nemzeti Mobilfizetési Zrt. (NM Zrt.) nor its resellers may charge customers with such a cost. The convenience fee ranged from a few hundred to a few thousand forints per purchase.
