- Accused individuals allegedly sold commercial canisters for 6,000 rupees—nearly three times the standard 2,100 rupees price—with seized goods worth nearly 2.2 million rupees.
- Sharma maintained "The supply of natural gas to domestic consumers is 100 per cent assured," as the government promotes alternatives like biogas and piped natural gas.
