Grass fire ignites on island in Brainerd swamp

BRAINERD — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources fire division responded to a vegetation fire Monday, June 15, just north of Brainerd. Fire crews responded to the fire at 4:45 p.m. on an island in a swamp between Beaver Dam Road North and Dal-Mar Drive.
