Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium Among Various Properties for Sale
Ryman said it has received interest from multiple organizations and hired Morgan Stanley to evaluate potential opportunities, with no agreement reached.
On Wednesday, Ryman Hospitality Properties confirmed it is evaluating potential strategic partnerships for its Opry Entertainment Group, engaging Morgan Stanley to assist in reviewing opportunities.
To support long-term growth, Ryman Hospitality Properties seeks to move Opry Entertainment Group outside its REIT structure, holding an approximate 70% controlling interest in venues including WSM and Ole Red.
Colin Reed, Executive Chairman of Ryman Hospitality Properties, stated the firm is "incredibly proud" of the business but noted rising global interest in country music prompted inquiries from a "range of organizations."
The company emphasized on Wednesday that no agreements have been reached and there are no assurances a transaction will occur, though Ryman Hospitality Properties expects to maintain a significant role in future growth.
As the Grand Ole Opry celebrates its 100th birthday this year, market observers are watching how a potential stake sale might influence the iconic Nashville venues and ripple through the country music industry.
