[Yomiuri Shimbun] The government will begin supporting the domestic production of drones (unmanned aerial vehicles), which have been added to the list of specified important materials under the Economic Security Promotion Act. While domestic use is expected to expand, currently the majority of drones are made overseas, including in China. Research and development is underway to ensure a stable domestic supply.
