- Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle said substantive motions can be tabled by the government, opposition or Backbench Business Committee, and Erskine May bars royal conduct debate without such motions.
- On Thursday, Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown said the Public Accounts Committee will write to the Crown Estate Commissioners and HM Treasury seeking lease information and decide next year on an investigation.
