Colombia has begun discussions with Mazda about a possible return to domestic vehicle assembly, twelve years after the automaker closed its Bogotá factory. The government hopes to attract industrial investment, strengthen local suppliers and create jobs. However, no factory or investment has been confirmed, and any project depends on feasibility studies and Mazda’s decision.
