The Ministry of Labor met this Tuesday with unions and employers to assess whether there is room for negotiation regarding the increase in the minimum interprofessional wage (SMI) in 2026, although without yet putting forward a concrete proposal or clarifying whether the Spanish Government will keep this minimum wage exempt from taxation, according to union sources.
