Under the new regulation, the government will block electricity price increases if retail prices increase by more than 70 percent or exceed the average price over the last five years by 2.5 times, i.e., if they exceed €180 per megawatt-hour.
The Government of Portugal has approved a draft law allowing the temporary flow of energy prices to the economy and companies.
