Google announced a major change in its search engine in the EU to comply with the local Digital Markets Act (DMA) and avoid new competition fines. The company's representative told Reuters that this would lead to the largest drop in the quality of the service in its 29-year history. The search engine would lose its usual useful functions, and European companies would face rising costs and falling traffic.
