Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Geekbench 7 result offers early look at Tensor G6 performance
The listing shows a seven-core Tensor G6 with 16 GB of RAM and Android 17, while single-core performance rises about 7% and multi-core falls about 12%.
- The upcoming Pixel 11 Pro XL appeared on Geekbench 7, revealing a Tensor G6 processor with an unusual seven-core configuration. The new Google SoC features a three-cluster setup, including a prime core clocked at up to 4.11 GHz.
- While the Tensor G6 shows approximately 7% faster single-core performance compared to the Tensor G5, multi-core results are roughly 12% lower. Google appears to be trading some multi-core performance for higher peak clock speeds.
- Benchmark metadata confirms the Pixel 11 Pro XL uses 16 GB of memory and a new PowerVR C-Series CXTP-48-1536 MC1 GPU. This component replaces the PowerVR D-Series DXT-48-1536 found in the previous Tensor G5 chip.
- Google will officially unveil the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and Pixel Watch 5 at its "Made by Google" event. The presentation takes place this Wednesday, Aug. 12, in New York City.
- Comedian Trevor Noah will host this year's launch, succeeding last year's host Jimmy Fallon. Other guests promoting the new Pixel hardware include Stephen Curry, Alex Cooper, Shubman Gill, and Ayami Nakajo.
