The Qatar Energy Company, winning an alliance with Petrobras, announced seven exploration sectors in the sixth round of open tenders for concessions organized by the Brazilian National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels.
Qatar ' s energy presence in the exploration and production sector of Brazil is enhanced after winning quotas in seven maritime areas in partnership with Petrobras, covering 4,700 square kilometres, amid expectations of concession contracts signed during the first half of 2027.
The concession contracts will strengthen and expand QatarEnergy's presence in Brazil's hydrocarbon exploration and production sector.
