The RedHawks finished the Island Resort Intercollegiate in 12th place with a score of 862 strokes, or two below par. Sophomore Joseph Canitano jumped up nine places to tie for 40th, two strokes below par.

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's golf team fired a 15-under par 273 in the final round and junior transfer McCoy Biagioli tied for third place at 15-under par 201 as the Spartans finished in fourth place among 12 teams at the season-opening Island Resort Intercollegiate, played at Sage Run Golf Course in Bark River in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

With a U-M record-tying 267 (-21) final round team total, Michigan posted a third-place finish with a program-record 822 (-42) at the Island Resort Intercollegiate at the Sage Run Golf Club.
